The 2022 Kia Niro will come with a 1.6 L GDI engine and an electric motor. The combined system will have performance ratings of 139 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. There is also an 8.9 kWh lithium-ion polymer hybrid battery.
For the 2021 Ford Escape Hybrid, a 2.5 L I-4 Atkinson-cycle engine provides power. It has a lithium-ion battery as well and an electric motor. This powertrain is rated at 165 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque.
All trim levels and versions of the 2022 Kia Niro Hybrid vehicle are rated at 46 mpg combined. We do not know more specifics at the time of this writing. We do know that an EPA estimated all-electric range is set at 26 miles.
The fuel economy rating of the 2021 Ford Escape SE Hybrid depends on whether it is an FWD or AWD model. FWD models get 44 mpg in the city, 37 on the highway, and 41 combined. AWD models are rated at 43 mpg in the city, 37 on the highway, and 40 combined.
