The K5 comes equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, a first for the Kia brand. The rest of the Kia lineup features traditional Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, while the K5 has cut the cord and implemented a wireless version of this technology suite for the first time ever. The competing 2020 Nissan Altima comes equipped with traditional Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity, requiring drivers to use charging cords in order to use the features.

The K5 comes equipped with a standard 1.6-liter turbocharged GDI engine paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Kia K5 GT models feature a more powerful 2.5-liter turbocharged GDI engine mated to a new 8-speed “wet” dual-clutch transmission. The 2020 Altima offers a standard 2.5-liter DIG engine or a 2.0-liter variable compression turbo engine.
