2018 Kia Stinger 3.3L V6 vs. 2018 Nissan 370Z Touring & NISMO

2018 Kia Stinger vs. 2018 Nissan 370Z New Port Richey FL

The Nissan 370Z sports car is known affectionately as “Jaws,” due to its shark-inspired design, but there’s a new sports car that is ready to go swimming with the sharks and take them out with a torpedo gun, aka the 2018 Kia Stinger.

The 2018 Stinger, Kia’s first-ever sports car which will hit lots around December 2017, comes with plenty of tech, performance, and more in its V6 model versions, with 365 HP and a 0-60 acceleration time of 4.7 seconds, as well as a top speed of 167 MPH. The 2018 Nissan 370Z achieves a peak of 350 HP, a little less than the Stinger. But it falls far short in the tech and features department, with a maximum 8-speaker Bose Audio system, compared to the 2018 Stinger’s available 15-speaker masterpiece of a Harman/Kardon audio system. And the 2018 Stinger also checks in with a tentative starting price (not final until closer to vehicle release) of $39,000 MSRP for V6 trims, which edges the 370Z’s Touring and NISMO trim MSRPs which begin at $39,590.

Drive the New Sports Car on the Block in the Tampa, Clearwater and St. Petersburg FL Area

The 2018 Kia Stinger has some impressive design features and awards (including Cars.com’s “Best in Show” earlier in 2017 at the North American International Auto Show, aka NAIAS, in Detroit), but it also comes with a more comprehensive tech package and more room for cargo. The 2018 Stinger is a GT model (Gran Turismo), which means it’s ideal for a race around the track or a long-distance trip, with up to 40.9 cubic feet for cargo with the rear seats folded. The 2018 370Z doesn’t even reach 10 cubic feet in back for cargo.
