The 2018 Kia Stinger is the first Kia sports car, and it will be on lots in late 2017, likely in December. But we have plenty of information on what this splendid model has in store for when it does go live and blazes past the competition. If you're skeptical, look no further than the two awards the 2018 Stinger garnered at its very first auto show, the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit in January 2017: The EyesOn Design award which honors the best in production model design, and the Cars.com Best in Show award.
The 2018 Stinger will have two available engines for five total trim options. The GT, GT1 and GT2 trims come with a maxed-out 365 horsepower Lambda II engine, a V6 twin-turbo that positively hums with energy while you can reach speeds upwards of 167 MPH (0-60 MPH in 4.7 seconds) and also enjoy the comforts of the interior, which is in the Gran Turismo style, or GT for short. GT means you have a sports car that can win races but you also have a car built with a comfortable interior for longer drives. The base Stinger and Premium trims come with the Theta II engine, a turbocharged engine with 255 HP and plenty of kick inside as well, with acceleration from to 0-60 MPH in 5.9 seconds.

Plenty more, and the 2018 Kia Stinger delivers, with an 8-speed automatic transmission for both trim options, giving you a smoother driving experience. And when you're done vanquishing your rivals on the city streets, you can also go off-road with the 2018 Stinger's available all-wheel drive, making it the first Kia sedan to have this ability. And if you wish to take on rugged conditions, the 2018 Stinger's Dynamic Stability Damping Control suspension is built to adapt to whatever driving mode you are in.
