2017 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study Results for Kia Models
If you've ever watched "Pawn Stars" on TV, you may have heard one of the elder Harrisons bemoan the shoddy workmanship of some items that people bring into their pawn shop, as they say the items made decades ago were of a higher quality. In the automotive world, however, quality is very much a current concern and it is achieved in several ways: Style, performance, features, and the all-important reliability factor.
Research company J.D. Power has an annual survey of new vehicle owners and lessees called the Initial Quality Study (IQS), which for 2017 compiled surveys filled out by 77,415 new vehicle drivers and recorded how many problems were reported occurring in their vehicles within the first 90 days of ownership. The models with the fewest problems in their category are highest-ranked in the J.D. Power IQS, and five Kia models were highest-ranked this year! Read on to see which ones achieved this result!
