Kia Wins Two More Awards Signifying Commitment to Quality and Safety

Which is the Best Auto Company?

If you’re a fan of the show Mad Men, you know that for much of our recent history, advertising and marketing were about creating a need rather than providing a solution. Executives at firms like the fictitious Sterling Cooper agency spent billions of dollars trying to convince people they needed something in their lives.

If it didn’t work as advertised, oh well. You just threw it in the burn pile out back and hoped your next purchase that oversold itself was a $.60 kitchen gadget and not a new $2500 hardtop sedan.

These days, a few companies are still trying to play by those rules – believing that they’re smarter than the modern consumer and that their advertising prowess can overcome the voice of reviewers, testing agencies and other consumers who have tried out the product.

Companies like Kia, who are finding the most success, are the ones who anticipate and embrace the dawn of the informed consumer. After all, there is a world of information at your fingertips and you’re no longer bound to rely on the word of the companies who make the vehicle to talk up its merits and liabilities.

In this era of overwhelming information, the voice of review agencies and testing organizations can be some of the most important to seek out. Without any ulterior motives, credited agencies like U.S. News and World Report, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), NHTSA, Wards, Car and Driver, Consumer Report, AMCI Global and more are the voice of those who test the bold and sweeping claims made by automotive manufacturers.

They’ve also been incredibly friendly to Kia models.

Within the last couple of weeks, Kia has been on the receiving end of two high honors. Let’s see what the buzz is all about:

1. Most Trusted Automotive Brand – Kia

Trust is a complicated thing to explain. When you trust something or somebody, you can’t always explain why and when that trust is broken, it can take years or lifetimes to repair. Trusting brands is even more difficult to achieve, as there is always a feeling that the only concern a brand has is for the bottom line.

Luckily, Kia continues to prove themselves as a brand that knows the best way to succeed is to give people an excellent product. For the second year in a row, Kia has been named as one of the most trusted automotive brands by AMCI Global in their Trusted Automotive Brands Study (TABS).

Just like building trust in a relationship, building trust as a brand begins with delivering a superior and reliable product that is consistently dependable and full of positive surprises.

This study, which saw 2,500 car owners and 34 brands participate led to Kia being recognized as one of only three non-luxury brands to earn these top honors. Well done, Kia!

2. Highest Amount of Top Safety Pick Awards – Kia

We frequently use the Top Safety Pick and Top Safety Pick + awards in our comparison pages because they show a vehicle that you can count on to keep you and your passengers safe in a variety of unpredictable and hazardous conditions.

With the 2019 Kia Sorento receiving the highest Top Safety Pick + award, Kia has been elevated as holders of the “most vehicles with a Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick Plus” distinction from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

With eight vehicles currently on their lineup that have one of the two safety designations, Kia continues to prove that protecting and being vigilant over the things which are most important to drivers is a noble and achievable goal.

Vehicles recognized by the Top Safety Pick Plus (+) designation include the 2019 Kia Sorento, 2018 Kia Forte, 2018 Kia Optima and 2018 Kia Soul.

Vehicles recognized by the Top Safety Pick designation include the 2018 Kia Cadenza, 2018 Kia Sedona, 2018 Kia Sorento and 2018 Kia Sportage.

Qualifying for either exclusive rating demands a vehicle excel at several crash tests including driver-side small overlap front, side crash, roof-strength, moderate overlap front and more. With Kia’s safety technology leading the way for crash prevention, this is also a huge factor for the South Korean automaker leading the list.

Which is the Best Auto Company? Looks a Lot Like Kia.

When it comes to labeling an automotive company the “best,” dependability and safety are two of the most crucial factors. With recent award wins for each, Kia is proving every day that nobody qualifies for this high title more than them and their advanced and family-friendly lineup.
