Tampa Bay Events April 6 and April 7 2019
We’ve rounded the corner into the second quarter of the year and it’s time to get to Spring cleaning, planning summer road trips and enjoying all of the fun that comes with the change of seasons.
You know Tampa Bay has a lot going on during this action-packed season. Here are our favorite things you can do this weekend:
1. Family Fun Night @ Hyde Park Village – Tampa, Florida
Friday, April 5, 2019, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Family Fun Night is just what it sounds like. You and your family can enjoy board games, hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, live music and even old-fashioned arcade games in the great Hyde Park Village.

2. PhilFest 2019 @ Philippine Cultural Enrichment Complex – Tampa, Florida
Various times throughout the weekend of April 6, 2019
Philippine culture is as much a unique collage of tangential cultures as our own in Tampa Bay. For that reason, it’s a great opportunity to experience an aesthetically-rich, historically-deep and immersive culture here in our backyard.
During this festival, you’ll get to see the Tawag ng Tanghalan Singing Contest, Youth Revolution 2019, Street Dancing Competition, Photography Contest and more with food, music and fun activities interspersed throughout.

3. I Love the 90s Bash @ Various bar locations – Tampa, Florida
Saturday, April 6, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
If you’ve been paying attention to TV shows like Stranger Things, movies like Captain Marvel or fashion by names like Emporio Armani, you know that the 1990s are back. Relive this colorful decade that served as a sundown to the pre-WWW world with a themed bar hop taking place across some of Tampa’s most famous venues.
Among those participating are Big Easy Bar, Coyote Ugly, The Brass Tap, Rock Brothers Brewing and more.

4. Italian Heritage Day @ Ybor City Historic District – Tampa, Florida
Saturday, April 6, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Italian culture underscores some of the most significant music, fashion, food and art we celebrate in the United States. This weekend, you’ll have an opportunity to enjoy an entire heritage festival devoted to the nation of Italy and its heritage.
On the calendario degli eventi, you’ll find a Bocce invitational, Italian Food Tent, Grape Stomp and more!

5. Family Favorites; My Neighbor Totoro @ Tampa Theatre – Tampa, Florida
Sunday, April 7, 2019, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
The work of Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki is regarded as some of the best animation to have ever been created. My Neighbor Totoro is a whimsical story about two sisters who interact with the spirits that live in the forest while they await their mother’s discharge from a hospital. It’s a beautiful story told with mesmerizing animation that appeals to even those who may not enjoy anime.

6. Winefest of Italy @ The Italian Club of Tampa – Tampa, Florida
Sunday, April 7, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Whether you enjoy a punchy red or a delicate white, Winefest has you covered. By attending this event, you’ll be able to taste over 80 different wines from Italy and California. You’ll also enjoy some of the best local Italian cuisine, complimentary cocktail samples, live music and more!

7. Chasco Fiesta 2019 @ Sims Park and Bank Street – New Port Richey, Florida
Various times throughout the April 6, 2019, weekend
Come on up to our neck of the woods and enjoy a fun party that stretches beyond the Pasco County community. Chasco Fiesta is an annual street parade and music festival that sprawls two whole weekends. This is the last weekend to come up and see it.
