Kia vs Mazda

Both the Kia and Mazda brands have released brand-new models into the automotive market over the past year. Kia welcomed the 2021 Kia Seltos and Mazda brought in the 2020 CX-30. Kia was once best known for its quirky and boxy Soul lineup, but has quickly shifted gears in the eyes of viewers and has become a top choice among crossover and SUV shoppers.

Kia and Mazda both offer a generous number of cars and SUVs in their lineups, however, Kia also focuses in on offering hybrid variants – an area where Mazda falls short. See where else these two brands differ in the chart below!

Electric Lineup Puts Kia Above the Competition

In total, Kia offers 18 different models to choose from, including gas-powered and alternative fuel options. Mazda, on the other hand, offers just 9 models to choose from with no electric variations in sight. The lineup of hybrid models from Kia is something that continues to push Kia above the competition and it has helped Kia excel above the Mazda brand.

Both of the auto manufacturers offer sedan and SUV models in their mix; however, Kia also offers a family-focused minivan in its lineup, while Mazda has removed vans from its catalog.
