Kia Sorento Tire Pressure PSI Recommendation

Carrying the mantle as a strong contender for both a family SUV and an adventure-ready light-off-roader, the Kia Sorento is a model whose entire history is documented on the roads around us. Featuring modern Kia reliability, even the oldest Sorrento models have held up extraordinarily well.

If you drive the Kia Sorento, chances are you already know that the versatility the Sorento gives you is one that allows you to go places and do things that other SUVs just can’t. All of those fun excursions, however, can really take their toll on your tires.

Let’s Talk Tires

As a responsible driver, you’re probably aware that tire tread-depth is an important safety concern for yourself and other drivers. Bald tires are traction hazards and can often slip in rain, snow or emergency maneuvers.

Underinflated tires, however, can be just as dangerous as bald ones. Not only are underinflated tires liable to blow out at highway speeds, but they can have a negative impact on AWD systems which mechanically lock the wheels of your vehicle together.

For that reason, having your tires inflated to the proper recommended PSI is important. Modern Kia Sorento models have a TPMS system which alerts you when tire pressure has fallen below the recommended level.

That recommended tire pressure for the 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Kia Sorento is 34 psi for both front and rear tires.

If you have an older Kia Sorento, we’ve compiled this table below to help you find your recommended tire pressure:
