Compare the Kia Stinger to its Conceptual Predecessors

Kia GT Concept Vs. Kia Stinger

As a company that embodies the qualities of a “thought leader” in the automotive engineering and design space, Kia is always on the cutting edge of the exciting things happening and the exciting things that are around the corner for the market.

Kia’s propensity for designing industry-challenging automobiles that have a ton of personality and power in the mass market is evidenced by the sheer number of concepts that have made it to market as consumer-grade vehicles. The Kia Soul started its life as a concept as did the Kia Telluride and the Kia Stinger.

As you can see in the above chart, the Kia GT Concept most closely looked like the modern Kia Stinger GT in terms of its size, powertrain, transmission and overall style. Sandwiched between these similar visions, the Kia GT4 Stinger Concept used a language and had a style similar to what would eventually arrive with the Kia Stinger GT, but lacked the more powerful engine, standard automatic transmission and longer wheelbase.

Ultimately, the Kia Stinger GT pulled the best elements from these models and added a luxurious and award-winning interior and plenty of fun courtesy of the available all-wheel-drive system.
