Kia Telluride and Stinger Earn Segment Titles in J.D. Power Study

J.D. Power Names Two Kia Vehicles Among Top APEAL Study Rankings 

J.D. Power has announced the rankings for another one of its 2020 automotive studies, this time it’s the 2020 Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout (APEAL) Study. Two of the Kia brand’s top-selling models earned winning rankings in their respective segments during the APEAL Study. Coming in just after Kia took home the #1 ranking in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study, the Kia Telluride and Stinger have won APEAL segment titles.

Kia Wins in J.D. Power APEAL Study 

Black 2021 Kia Telluride Nightfall Edition

The 2020 J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout Study assesses the responses from various automotive owners to rank their level of emotional attachment and excitement with their new vehicle after 90 days of ownership. This J.D. Power study evaluates over 40 different vehicle attributes in order the determine each vehicle’s ranking. The study uses a 1,000-point scale when assessing each aspect of the automotive owner’s experience with their vehicle.  

Kia took home the gold in this year’s APEAL Study, earning top marks for the Kia Telluride and the Kia Stinger. The Kia Telluride is now in its second year on the market and has recently debuted a new special appearance package, known as the Nightfall Edition, along with a few minor enhancements.  

The Kia Stinger is in its third year on the automotive scene and continues to hold its spot as the brand’s highest-performance vehicle. Similar to the Telluride, the Stinger has welcomed a few enhancements in its latest iteration.
