Emergency Preparedness: CPR

How to Perform CPR and Local CPR Lessons Tampa Bay

Being prepared for a wide range of emergencies is critical and as we continue to be in the middle of hurricane season our team at Friendly Kia has been putting together a series of emergency preparedness guides. So far we have covered hurricanes and swimming lessons and this time around we’ll be going over CPR.

Understanding how to properly and safely perform CPR is a skill that every individual should learn, as the need to perform it can come when we least expect it. This emergency preparedness guide is going to go over how to perform CPR and provide you with a list of local CPR lesson locations around Tampa Bay.

How to Perform CPR

Anyone who has seen The Office knows one of the most common go-to songs to do CPR to is “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees. This song’s tempo is 103 beats per minute, which falls in the recommended range of 100-120 compressions per minute. With this tempo in mind, individuals performing CPR will be doing 1 to 2 compressions each second.
