How Safe is the 2022 Kia Stinger?
The 2022 Kia Stinger bests its 2021 MY safety ratings by earning its first TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) with the addition of standard LED headlights. In order to make the TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation, a vehicle must earn ratings of ‘good’ in all six IIHS crashworthiness evaluations. The Stinger’s standard forward collision avoidance system also earned a ‘superior rating’ in the vehicle-to-vehicle evaluation and ‘advanced’ in the vehicle-to-pedestrian evaluation. This achievement marks a significant improvement over the sport sedan’s already impressive safety record. Last year the 2021 Stinger earned a TOP SAFETY PICK award for models equipped with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights.
