What’s Going On In Tampa Bay This Weekend?

Events and Shows Near St. Petersburg and Clearwater June 19 and 20, 2021

With Juneteenth falling on Saturday, this weekend the Tampa Bay area celebrates the historical end of slavery with special events intended to honor and uplift the Black community. The Friendly Kia team has put together this guide to give you a look at what could be on your agenda for this coming weekend of June 19 and 20, 2021, near St. Petersburg and Clearwater, FL.

Juneteenth Jubilee at The Factory

This weekend, The Factory hosts Juneteenth Jubilee, a nighttime celebration of Black liberation and expression brought to you by Black Factory Artists and community creatives. The Factory is a mixed-use space in the Warehouse Arts District of St. Petersburg. Pay-what-you-can door donations will go to the artists that make this event possible.

Juneteenth Jubilee will take place on Saturday, June 19, 2021, from 10 pm to 2 am.

REVERBERATIONS at The James Museum

Opening this Saturday from the Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum, REVERBERATIONS is a special exhibition that shares artwork from emerging and established Black artists who live and work in Tampa Bay and across the Southeastern United States.

Opening day falls on Saturday, June 19, 2021, but the exhibition will be available at The James Museum through August 29, 2021.

Arts + Qulture at The Factory

This weekend The Factory will also be home to Arts & Qulture presented by AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Participants will be able to immerse themselves in a diverse collection of music, art, and dance. In honor of Juneteenth, the program will emphasize pieces that celebrate Black, Queer culture. Local vendors, food trucks, and a full bar will also be available on site. Arts + Qulture is part of a month-long series of Pride Month festivities by St. Pete Pride.

This event will take place on Saturday, June 19, 2021, from 3 pm to 10 pm.

33rd Annual Ladies Inshore & Offshore Fishing Tournament

This annual gathering of female anglers returns for a whole weekend of fishing and a “reel good time.” The 33rd Annual Ladies Inshore & Offshore Fishing Tournament is dedicated to helping raise awareness and funds for the Celma Mastry Ovarian Cancer Foundation.

This event will take place Thursday, June 17, 2021, through Sunday, June 19.
