Bonnie Tyler I Need a Hero 2017 Kia Niro Super Bowl Commercial
The all-new 2017 Kia Niro is a hybrid sent to us from the future, the first mainstream model of its kind to combine the cargo space of a crossover with fuel economy that tops 50 mpg in its base trim option. We’ve discussed the Niro’s benefits in other posts, and they are ample – but we want to solve a mystery you might be having if you’ve seen its Super Bowl 51 commercial: Who sings the song that is featured in the ad?
And if you haven’t already seen the commercial with living comedy legend Melissa McCarthy, we have that for your viewing pleasure as well – read onward!
Bonnie Tyler is the Singer from the Kia Niro Commercial
While the 2017 Kia Niro is a new vehicle, we go into the wayback machine a bit to find the origin of the song from its Super Bowl ad, “Hero’s Journey.”
The song in the commercial is “Holding Out for a Hero,” by Bonnie Tyler, who was a major hit-maker in the 1970s and 1980s with that song, as well as “Total Eclipse of The Heart” and “It’s a Heartache,” among other pop masterstrokes.
