While the new 8-speed front-wheel-drive engine will surely be included in other future models, for now the only model scheduled to have this new transmission is the 2017 Kia Cadenza, which will be arriving in lots in the fourth quarter of 2016.

We expect that this latest transmission option will hit vehicles like the Kia Optima and the Kia Forte Koup at some point in the near future, as both are made for nice sporty performance and currently have turbocharged engine model options.  But stay tuned!  We’ll update you on all the engine and transmission comings and goings here at the Friendly Kia blog.
