2023 Kia Sportage Fist Look and Updates
Though we have yet to see any updates on the US version of the 2023 Sportage, specs released from the Kia Global Media center earlier this month could shine a light on what’s in store for the American market. This guide offers a first look at what could be coming our way for updates in the redesigned 2023 Kia Sportage when it arrives at Friendly Kia in New Port Richey, FL.
What’s Can We Expect from the U.S. Release of the 2023 Kia Sportage?
The fifth-generation Kia Sportage has been redone from the ground up, and that leaves plenty of room for the designers to swap in more cutting-edge technology and other enhancements. Just some of the highlights found in the global version of the redesigned 2023 Kia Sportage that might be making their way to the U.S. model include:
- New protective driving technology and ADAS features
- Bold new exterior design with reshaped headlights and taillights
- Class-leading headroom, legroom and cargo space.
- New integrated curved display
Class-Leading Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
The Kia Sportage sets out to be one of the safest SUVs in its class with a suite of protective driving technology and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This year the global version of the 2023 Sportage debuts with a reinforced, lightweight body structure, plus enhanced safety restraint and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) offerings.
New this year, Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) helps keep the Sportage at a safe speed on the highway using real-time navigation data and can automatically slow the vehicle before entering a corner or curve. Highway Driving Assist (HDA) combines lane-centering and adaptive cruise control technologies to help relieve the driving fatigue associated with highway travel. These features are expected to join the already long list of standard Drive Wise safety features found in the current-generation US version of the Kia Sportage.
More details on the U.S. version of the 2023 Kia Sportage are expected to drop before the end of July. You can follow the Friendly Kia blog for more updates as they become available.
