2022 Stinger Engines Appeal to Enthusiasts

The 2022 Kia Stinger is available in GT-Line, GT1, and GT2 trim levels here at Friendly Kia near Clearwater and St. Petersburg. Later in the year, Kia will add a special edition Scorpion model to the mix that will introduce even more appeal to the already impressive sedan.

The baseline 2022 Kia Stinger GT-Line is bringing the most standard power we’ve seen in a Stinger yet, changing what it means to be entry-level. Stinger GT-Line models feature a 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. This base setup generates 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque and accelerates the Stinger from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds.

The GT twin-turbo V6 engine offers a power upgrade in equipped models and comes with performance upgrades that include Brembo brakes and launch control. The 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 engine works alongside an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters to generate 368 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. The V6 machine launches Stinger models from 0 to 60 mph in a quick 4.7 seconds.

Models equipped with the 2.5-liter powerplant or the twin-turbo V6 engine come standard with a rear-wheel drivetrain and are available with the torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system.
