2021 vs 2020 Kia Telluride
The 2020 model year and the introduction of the Kia Telluride marked the first time we received a Kia model that was designed specifically for the U.S. market. Looking at the 2020 Telluride in comparison to its second iteration in 2021, a few minor enhancements were made to the Kia Telluride for the 2021 model year. In addition to some small changes, a special appearance package joined the rankings as well.
The 2021 Telluride Nightfall Edition brings stealth-black elements and unique detailing that set it apart from the rest of the lineup. The 2020 Kia Telluride was a knockout from the start, but the added enhancements make this Kia better than ever.
The 2021 Telluride enhanced its towing capabilities, bringing in a 7-pin towing trailer harness to replace last year’s 4-pin setup. A remote engine start button was also added to the vehicle’s key fob for added convenience.
In the 2020 model year, the Telluride was offered in Snow White Pearl, Everlasting Silver, Gravity Gray, Ebony Black, Black Copper, and Dark Moss paint colors depending on the trim level. For the 2021 model, the Telluride is available in a Sangria color and the availability of the Black Copper color has been expanded to more trim levels.
The powertrain for the Kia Telluride remains unchanged between the 2020 and 2021 models. The 2021 Telluride lineup is powered by a 3.8-liter GDI V6 engine with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque on tap. Like last year’s model, the 2021 Telluride offers 20 mpg in the city, 26 mpg on the highway, and 23 mpg combined.
