2020 Edmunds Top-Rated SUV Award Winner
Here on the Friendly Kia Blog, we talk a lot about why we believe Kia vehicles are objectively the best option for 99% of drivers.
The fact is that Kia vehicles almost always have more technology (often which elevates them into competition with luxury vehicles), sharp and sporty style from the best and most cutting-edge automotive designers and an industry-best, 10-year, 100,000-mile warranty.

Still, we can’t deny our bias. We love Kia vehicles and that love informs everything we write and publish here on the Friendly Kia website. So, seeking out objective information from unbiased, third-party sources is a great way to tell if we’re just living with rose-colored glasses or actually propping up the strongest player in the game.
With Kia having an industry-best warranty and being the recipient of recent awards like “Highest Ranked Mass-Market Brand for Initial Quality” by J.D. Power, it’s clear the brand is doing more than just casting an illusory spell over the public.
Is the Kia Telluride a Good SUV?
The Kia Telluride is Kia’s flagship SUV. Until the Kia Seltos debuts this spring, it will also be the newest model on the Kia lineup. For that reason, it serves as a pretty good indicator of how Kia is doing as a brand with offerings in competitive segments.
Already the recipient of several awards like the 2020 Motor Trend SUV of the Year, a Kelley Blue Book Best Buy for 2019 and a finalist for the 2020 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year Award (winners announced a week from today!), the Telluride is a winner through and through.

This past month, however, the 2020 Kia Telluride received another prestigious award in the form of a win for the 2020 Edmunds Top-Rated SUV category.
Alistair Weaver, who is Edmunds’s editor in chief and almost certainly a Charles Dickens character, had the following to say about the 2020 Kia Telluride:
“Stylish, roomy and practical, Kia hit it out of the park with the 2020 Telluride.” For those who support a baseball team that plays in a giant sardine can like we do with the Devil Rays, “out of the park” is a reference to how baseball players can actually hit the ball so hard it leaves the confines out of the outdoor stadium.
Weaver went on to praise the Telluride’s dynamics, saying “Not only does it drive well, but it looks and feels like a luxury SUV without the high price tag.” Remarking on its exclusivity, he added: “No other SUV in its class is as comprehensively accomplished as the Telluride.”
High praise indeed.
If you’re in the market for an award-winning SUV from an award-winning brand, you’re looking for the Kia Telluride and you can get it here at Friendly Kia…you guessed it…an award-winning dealership!
