Have you seen the “Seinfeld” episode where Jerry doesn’t want to wear a puffy shirt someone made for him, saying “I don’t wanna be a pirate!”  Well, you will feel the opposite of the esteemed comedian when the pirates arrive on the shores of Tampa in early 2017, with the Gasparilla invasion and the ensuing Seminole Hard Rock Gasparilla Pirate Fest.  Once the party begins, you’ll grab a swash to buckle, and find some landlubbers to sing a sea chantey to, in zero seconds flat.

What’s a good time with a couple hundred thousand of your closest friends, and in the Tampa area?  It’s the Gasparilla event season,  which kicks off in early 2017 with an invasion and hits its party stride even further with a music festival and movie festival later in the year.  Read on for details on all of these upcoming festive Tampa events!

We’ve seen high-flying NBA star Blake Griffin soar with the Kia Optima.  We’ve seen Christopher Walken show how the Optima stands out from the crowded midsize sedan herd, with a sporty, Euro-styled exterior and an interior that has up to 10 speakers, more room than most of the competition in its class, and performance that rivals luxury brands.

So yes, we’re plenty excited to see what the 2017 model year has in store.  To wit, we’ll show you a commercial (“Shoe Store”) for the 2017 Optima, which is still the official vehicle of the NBA, and give you a review of what the 2016 Optima accomplished, while we all wait for an official 2017 Kia Optima release date.

Kia vehicles are set for a monster 2017, with new models either already on the lot or coming in 2017, such as the 2017 Kia Forte, 2017 Kia Sportage, 2017 Kia Soul, and the 2017 Kia Niro, to name but a few.

There is something epic happening with one of the new 2017 Kia models in early 2017, and we have a teaser video from September 2016 in Germany to whet your appetite.  In the meantime, since we have until January 8, 2017 to see the official unveiling, we will give an educated guess about which Kia vehicle is set to show off its agility, speed and power in Germany.  Stay tuned for a teaser video, and then for our speculation!

2016 Tampa Bay Bucs Playoff Chances and Remaining Schedule

When the Buccaneers began the 2016 NFL season 1-2, we were a little worried, but we held out hope for a rebound.  And boy howdy, have we seen a resurgence, as quarterback Jameis Winston and his teammates have put together an impressive five-game win streak, and are now eyeing not only a playoff spot but a division title.  Besides that, there’s always the elusive Lombardi Trophy for winning the whole enchilada in the Super Bowl.

So we’ll look at the final three games of the Bucs’ schedule, size up their playoff chances, and hope this great winning streak continues!
