If you want to be an immortal in pro basketball, it’s amazing how little scoring 25 points per game will do to help your cause. You need to also rebound, pass, typically play good defense, and probably win a lot of games. Which is why players like Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird and Oscar Robertson have been chiseled on the Mt. Rushmore of basketball – they did it all. Now that the 2015-16 NBA season is about two-thirds done, we’re starting to get some clarity on who is the best player in the world this year and deserves to win the 2016 Kia NBA MVP award.
Two of the frontrunners are Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant – and since we’re big hoops fans at Friendly Kia, we’ll size up their chances, as well as the remainder of the field, and pick a winner. Stay tuned. (more…)
