Tampa Bay Events March 2 and March 3 2019
As we say goodbye to February, we’re reminded just how quickly time flies and how important it is to maximize every moment we have. Luckily, when you live somewhere like Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater or anywhere else in the Tampa Bay, it’s easier than ever to make those moments count.
If you’re looking for some fun and meaningful things to do this weekend, we’ve got you covered. Here are our favorite things happening in the Tampa Bay:
8th Annual Music on the Bay @ Whiskey Joe’s – Tampa, Florida
Friday, March 1, 2019, and Saturday, March 2, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 3, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Enjoy plenty of tropical-vibe-friendly music with a beautiful view at the annual Music on the Bay festival and fundraiser in Tampa. Benefiting the Shriners Hospitals for Children, this festival invites you to stick around for some fun and laid-back music while enjoying some of the best food and drink the Tampa Bay has to offer.

Plant City Strawberry Festival 2019 @ Florida Strawberry Festival Grounds – Plant City, Florida
Various times throughout the March 2, 2019, weekend
Whether you’re crazy about these little red berries or simply want to enjoy a huge event that brings travelers from all over the state for fun games, decadent food and a slew of live music and activities, the Plant City Strawberry Festival is a favorite opportunity to celebrate.
While you’ll find plenty to do all weekend at the Florida Strawberry Festival, stopping by Friday, March 1, 2019, at 3:30 will allow you to see legendary country western artist Willie Nelson take the stage with his blazing blend of folk and country music.
You can get all of the information for this festival on the Florida Strawberry Festival’s Facebook page, which you can reach by clicking here.
Gasparilla Festival of the Arts @ Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park – Tampa, Florida
Saturday, March 2, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 3, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Art is all around us but art festivals allow us to enjoy a concentrated and thoughtful presentation that makes us ponder deep ideas like meaning, love, beauty and more. With Gasparilla being a cultural celebration for Tampa Bay, it’s no wonder that an art festival would be part of the deal.
Different media will be on-hand such as ceramic, paint, digital, drawing and more to show a range of what is able to be created when somebody connects their infinite well of imagination to an idea that means something to them.
More information, including a schedule and map of gallery space, can be found on the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts Facebook page, which you can reach by clicking here.
12th Annual Mardi Gras Crawfish and Shrimp Boil @ Hula Bay Club – Tampa, Florida
Sunday, March 3, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Yep, it’s already almost Mardi Gras. If, like most of us, you have work on Fat Tuesday itself, you can still enjoy a huge celebration of the event this weekend courtesy of the Mardi Gras Crawfish and Shrimp Boil at the Hula Bay Club.
Not only will you get to enjoy some of the best southern-cooked crawfish and shrimp, but you’ll also get to experience the fun of the festive holiday in the form of live music, masks, Mardi Gras beads and a genuine carnival atmosphere.
The best part? All proceeds will go to benefit the Global Physician Mission Network, meaning your admittance is helping a great cause beyond just you having a great time and celebrating this indulgent holiday.
More information can be found on the event’s Facebook page, which you can reach by clicking here.
Pink @ Amalie Arena – Tampa, Florida
Sunday, March 3, 2019, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
A Grammy-award-winning artist, Pink’s career as an attitude driven punk-pop musician has led her to the top of the charts time and time again in her over 20 years making music. Having recently released the Grammy-nominated album, “Beautiful Trauma,” Pink will embark on a world tour to support this album, with a kick-off performance at our favorite sports and music venue.
Though Pink will be focusing on playing her newest songs, we would put good money on the fact that you’ll be able to hear some of your favorites as well from her expansive catalog like “Trouble,” “Don’t Let Me Get Me,” “Get This Party Started,” “Pill” and more!
More information and ticketing can be found on the concert’s Facebook page, which you can reach by clicking here.
