2020 Kia Telluride Vs. 2020 Hyundai Palisade

In realms beyond just the automotive world, it’s important to take a step back and analyze how the positions we hold might appear to an outsider. Not only can this approach give us some much-needed self-awareness, but it illuminates the blind spots in the paradigms which we hold most dear, allowing us to refine and shape our beliefs in a complete way. Kia Diesel Vehicles in 2019

If an artificial intelligence were to try and break down the content on the Friendly Kia Blog, it would probably find the analysis to be something like 10% sports news, 55% Kia information and 35% hokey jokes with poorly-executed photoshop mixed in. Of that 55% Kia information, a good portion would be us simply talking up how great Kia is at tailoring lineups to markets. (more…)

2019 Fourth of July Fireworks in Pasco County

Pasco County is our home and it’s an area we’re proud to call so and serve. Just far enough from the buzz of Tampa Bay that we can drive home and relax every night, but just close enough to enjoy all of the festivities, New Port Richey has been an incredible base of operations for us here in the Northern Tampa Bay area. It just so happens that speculation is one of our favorite activities around these parts. Sometimes we’re right. Sometimes we’re wrong. Every time, we have fun and dive into the deep and alluring world of Kia’s engineering and design. (more…)

Kia Rio Model History and First-Generation Photos

The great philosopher Socrates once said, “The secret of happiness is not found in seeking more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy less.” Whether or not the designers and engineers at the Kia of the 1990s and early 2000s knew it, they were Socratic advocates, inspiring the masses to minimalism by offering cars that provided only what was necessary to be considered a car.  (more…)

Kia Telluride Vs. Kia Borrego

Sometime last year (it’s hard to keep track of these things, okay?) a trend swept social media in which users would upload a side-by-side comparison photo of themselves taken recently and one that had been taken 10 years ago. Dubbed the #TenYearsChallenge, this event not only showed us how far many of us had come but it also gave us a look into the fashion tragedies of a decade past. (more…)

2019 and 2020 Kia Crossovers

Due to their focus on questioning elements of the status quo that limit drivers’ expectations, Kia has recently garnered a reputation as a “challenger brand.” One of the most apparent ways this reputation manifests is their rejection of the “play it safe” mentality with which other manufacturers and brands have seemingly built and curated their lineups. 2019 Kia Stinger IIHS Safety Rating

As a whole, buying a vehicle means compromising. We’d all love to have an all-wheel-drive, convertible sports SUV with 10,000 lbs. of towing capacity and 135 cubic feet of interior space that does 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and gets 50 miles per gallon. Since the whole idea behind automation is resisting the natural laws of physics, different vehicles serve different purposes and choosing a vehicle for the attributes you like also means taking reductions in its less-important facets.
