12th ANNUAL KIAFEST DRAWS APPROX. 16,000 PEOPLE
Dealer entertains locals with Bands and Fireworks

John Gilliss, Owner of Friendly KIA in New Port Richey, Florida is known as Mr. Friendly around town and it is due to his generosity. Every year a week before the 4th of July celebration in Tampa Bay he brings Bands, Arts & Crafts, Games and a giant Fireworks display to Sims Park in downtown NewPort Richey.
This year the KIAFEST was a surfing celebration with four tribute bands rocking the park: Mamas and Papas, The Beach Boys, Todd Plant’s Doobie Brothers and The Eagles.
Approximately 16,000 people attended the 2010 KIAFEST on June 28th and got a chance to take a look at the KIA vehicle lineup that surrounded the stage!
What a fantastic way to be in the public eye as a contributor to the local community. We believe that this is a great special interest story that would be a positive influence and benefit all dealers if shared through Automotive News.
